Bye Arizona! See you soon!

We got breakfast at hotel and then we were off to the airport for our journey back home.

Gonna miss the cactus!
Got a fabulous burrito at the airport!

On the plane to Minneapolis.

We had a three hour layover so we ate at Ike's.  I had a chicken flatbread with Gouda and John had a bacon cheeseburger.  This food was awesome! Plus, the booths had storage under your seat for luggage!!

We took our time and then walked to our gate.

The best. Gate. Ever!

iPads, charging stations and push iPad to order drinks and food!  So I had some wine!

And finally in the plane to Grand Rapids.  Awesome vacation, can't wait to do it again with my best friend! :)

Day 6, Sedona

We woke up late, 5:30am, it was one of the latest mornings for us, as we woke up early every day for our activities.  This morning we were going to Cathedral Rock, one of the most famous places in Sedona.

Last sunrise!

Cathedral, one of the most photographed sites in Arizona!!  Elevation 4921.

And away we go!

More beauty...

Getting closer!

View down...

Reached the peak to see the other side!!

There are no words!!!

Then I hung out on a ledge!

Caught this rainbow!

We stayed up top about an hour and just enjoyed the views.

Then on the way back down, I took pics of the rocks I climbed when there was no trail!  John kept calling me Mountain goat.

After our hike we went to breakfast at Coffeepot!  I loved the mugs!
I has a bacon, mushroom, avocado.omelette and John made a version of a Keane, eggs, gravy, biscuits, and corned beef hash.  It was pretty tasty.

We went back to the hotel, showered and packed up and said bye to Sedona.

Another fantastic morning!

Day 4, Sedona

Happy 9th anniversary to us!  How do we celebrate?  With a balloon ride over the red rocks!

The van picked us up at 4:25am... And away we went to the launch site!

We watched as they got the balloon ready for us!

It was gorgeous!  Just breathtaking and a smooth ride!

We watched the sun rise!

There were several other balloons out that day:). It was gorgeous!

Then we landed!  We watched them deflate the balloon and then we were taken to a park for mimosas and a light breakfast!

We went back to our hotel, got changed and headed for a hike on Fay Canyon.

It was breathtaking here!

John kept telling me to look to the right for an arch.. And most people miss it because it looks like its part if the mountain, but I found it!!!

So we took a detour off the trail and hiked to the arch.  It was a very pebbly trail, but the end result was amazing!!!

I made it!  It was a pretty hard hike, but so thrilling!

We then made our way down and John started calling me a mountain goat.  He then told me we would do Cathedral before we left cause he knew I could do it!!

We continued on the trail and ended at this Snake.  We were gonna climb it but it was 90 plus degrees and time to hike the mile back!

So beautiful!  We went back to the hotel and got cleaned up and had some leftovers.  It was getting really cloudy out, so I snapped some more pictures!

We went to Uptown Sedona and dinked around looking at all the shops.  We stopped at The Cowboy Club for beers and cactus fries, with prickly pear sauce.  They were delish!  Another place recommended by Jimmy!

We ended up going to The Crooked Goose for dinner.  The salads were fresh and our meals were amazing!  I got the special, which was a red rock pasta with chicken, steak, shrimp, mushrooms in a caper tomato sauce.  Perfectly paired with a Cabernet Sauvignon. John got the fish special and some onion rings.    Definitely coming to this place again!

Another great day in Sedona!   I feel so blessed and happily married!
