Day 5, Sedona

We woke up to a beautiful sunrise!

We headed to the store to get more water, as we actually ran out.  We had bought 5 gallons on Sunday.  We went to breakfast at Cafe Jose... We both had huevos rancheros... Yum!!
... And then off to The Grand Canyon!

It was under two hours to get to the South Rim.

We started off at Yaki Point...amazing!

... And we went on that ledge, lol!

Then we went and stood on this platform!!!  It was breathtaking!

That's John waving!

We took the free shuttle to South Kaibab.
There is a squirrel hanging out!

We then got back on the shuttle and took it to Powell Point.

Next up, we walked to Hopi Point.

And it was my favorite part.

Then our last stop was Pima Point.  We had great views of the Colorado River there!

We then took the shuttle back to our cars and headed to Tusayan to eat lunch.

We found this highly reviewed place, Plaza Bonita.  I had a pork burrito and John had chicken burrito.

On our way back we stopped at the Indian market again and I got some cute animal jewelry.  Then we went to Uptown Sedona to walk around and get some souvenirs.

You name this rock... Lol...

Me with a javelina!  They had Javelinas on parade!  Kinda like Herky on parade!

Happy hour!

We ate leftovers that we had accumulated over the week.

We headed to Oak Creek after for a stargazing event.  Unfortunately, it was really cloudy and it had to be cancelled but not before we saw Saturn through the telescope!!  That was so cool.

Another glorious vacation day!

Day 4, Sedona

Happy 9th anniversary to us!  How do we celebrate?  With a balloon ride over the red rocks!

The van picked us up at 4:25am... And away we went to the launch site!

We watched as they got the balloon ready for us!

It was gorgeous!  Just breathtaking and a smooth ride!

We watched the sun rise!

There were several other balloons out that day:). It was gorgeous!

Then we landed!  We watched them deflate the balloon and then we were taken to a park for mimosas and a light breakfast!

We went back to our hotel, got changed and headed for a hike on Fay Canyon.

It was breathtaking here!

John kept telling me to look to the right for an arch.. And most people miss it because it looks like its part if the mountain, but I found it!!!

So we took a detour off the trail and hiked to the arch.  It was a very pebbly trail, but the end result was amazing!!!

I made it!  It was a pretty hard hike, but so thrilling!

We then made our way down and John started calling me a mountain goat.  He then told me we would do Cathedral before we left cause he knew I could do it!!

We continued on the trail and ended at this Snake.  We were gonna climb it but it was 90 plus degrees and time to hike the mile back!

So beautiful!  We went back to the hotel and got cleaned up and had some leftovers.  It was getting really cloudy out, so I snapped some more pictures!

We went to Uptown Sedona and dinked around looking at all the shops.  We stopped at The Cowboy Club for beers and cactus fries, with prickly pear sauce.  They were delish!  Another place recommended by Jimmy!

We ended up going to The Crooked Goose for dinner.  The salads were fresh and our meals were amazing!  I got the special, which was a red rock pasta with chicken, steak, shrimp, mushrooms in a caper tomato sauce.  Perfectly paired with a Cabernet Sauvignon. John got the fish special and some onion rings.    Definitely coming to this place again!

Another great day in Sedona!   I feel so blessed and happily married!
