Day 5 in Boston
We started off today at the #2 rated place on Yelp... the Thinking Cup. I had a breakfast burrito and a cafe vanilla... John had coffee and a breakfast sandwich.. totally delightful!
After Breakfast, we walked through Beacon Hill. It was beautiful and a lot to see. I wonder how much these houses go for ;)
There were some really cool bar/restaurant names in the area!
Next, we took the T to the Prudential Tower to get some awesome city views!
We took the T to Park Street and ended went to lunch at Sam Lagrassa's. This place was recommended on Diners, Drive ins and Dives and also recommended as the #4 restaurant on Trip Advisor. OMG... No words!!
We split the Chipotle Pastrami and Clam Chowder. OMG, it was amazing.... we decided that we have to come back tomorrow!!!
After lunch, we headed to Cambridge!
It's time to see Harvard!
For our last snack, we went to another Diner, Drive in and Dive... Mr Bartley's Burger.. we shared a burger...
After Cambridge, we headed back downtown.
We took a break at our room for awhile and hubby went to do hot yoga and I went across the street to the Vintage bar for some wine and a snack!
After John got done with yoga, we walked to the North End.
We put our name down at Neptune Oyster and then waited at a nearby bar. We had drinks and waited for a bit. The view was amazing.... :)
Dinner was amazing. The Oysters were very good. We got 12 and 3 different kinds. I still can't believe that oysters from different places taste different. Anyway, we walked back downtown.
Had a drink at the Vintage Lounge and also one at The Littlest Bar. Very good day.. filled with lots of food, laughs and good times.
Day 4 in Boston
Started off our day again with some Bean & Leaf Cafe food and
Next stop...Freedom Trail!
Talk about a History Major's dream. This is a 3 mile walk of 16 historically significant places. OMG. Seriously!!!!
Here are the places that we saw along the way!
1. Boston Common, America's Oldest Public Park
2. Massachusetts State House
3. Park Street Church
4. Granary Burying Ground (Sam Adams, Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin's Parents are buried here along with the victims of the Boston Massacre)
5. Kings Chapel (A church and a burial ground of other early Puritans)

10. Site of the Boston Massacre (This is where 6 men died in the first "attack" on Boston. Sam Adams famous photo of the soldiers shooting the common man was proganda.

We toured up to the Old State House... learned a lot about the "Boston Massacre" and propaganda... met a Hawkeye and then took a break for lunch.
For lunch we went to the #1 place on Yelp in the area Casa Razdora. Which turned out to be our favorite pizza on the trip and only 2 blocks from our hotel.
Next, we followed the Freedom Trail up to the North End.. first stop.. Modern Pastry for a yummy chocolate ganache. It was so amazing!
After snacks... we went up to the North End and the Paul Revere House and the famous North Church.
After the North End, we crossed the bridge and went to Charlestown. First stop, Warren Tavern. This is where Paul Revere and George Washington used to hang out!!! OMG... one of my favorite places!!!
So we stopped for a snack... it turned out to be $1 Oysters and the biggest and amazing ones! We also had a side of smoked sausage... of course with some beers. Delightful!.
After this, we headed to Bunker Hill!
We climbed the Bunker Hill Monument. It was 294 stairs up! It was a great workout. We walked back to the hotel and changed and went to dinner at The Vault. I had fish tacos! Fresh fish from Cape Cod! I love how fresh all the food has been here. Hubby got a burger, of course :).
After dinner, we went back to the hotel and watched the Olympics... it was a long day of walking... (over 6 miles) and eating. This was rest night (and women's gymnastics GOLD MEDAL!) and ready to start our new adventures the next day! :)
