Our destination this year, Sedona. Completely different than last year's Boston choice. We chose it based on an article online about most romantic getaways.
We left for the airport, had a quick stop
in Minneapolis and landed in Phoenix.
Phoenix welcomed us with 108 degree
heat.
First stop, we met my college roommate
from sophomore year at Iowa and her
daughter Avery! We went to Barrio Cafe.
A place recommended by several of her
local friends, ranked 49 on Trip Adviser
AND a DDD! (Guy Fieri fans you know
what this means!)
Of course this place was amazing!!
John had the steak tacos.

Delightful!
We then headed to Sedona after a fabulous
lunch with Emily and Avery!
The drive was spectacular and kept getting
better!
Then we got to our hotel and this is our view
from our terrace! Love the Best Western!
We drove around town, got water, snacks for
the room and of course some local craft beer!
just amazing!!!
We took our hotel shuttle to Tlaquepaque
and ate at Oak Creek brewery. We both had
beers and burgers and they were amazing!
I had a mushroom Brie burger and John
had the smokehouse burger! We walked
around the area and then our shuttle came and
piicked us back up!
