Wrestling pics and results

Here are some of the best pictures I took from the wrestling meet. First, wrestling legend, Dan Gable! He was sitting in our section... and only a few rows down!

We had 8 Hawkeyes in the finals. 2 First place finishers! 4 2nd place finishers! One 3rd place and one 6th place :) We finished 3rd overall behind Penn State and Minnesota.. it was such a great time and our room is already booked for next year in Champaign, IL! :)

Shedd Aquarium

Chicago is an amazing place. Growing up there I sometimes forget all it has to offer!

My sis and I took Savannah to the Shedd Aquarium so she could see the fishies. It was amazing and fun!

Big Ten Wrestling Saturday

Woke up and walked to a DDD... Yesa Diner, Drive in and Dive! This one is called XXX. It was a block from our hotel... And reasonable and cash only ;)

We went to the first session of the B1G Tens after this... And it was fun and a ton of Hawk fans!

For lunch break we wet to The Blue Nile.. Yummmmmmy falafel and baba goanush!

Next, went for beers at Jakes and half the place was Hawks!

Off to the second session and Dan Gable was there! Pics to come on final Sunday wrap up! :)

Dinner at the Italian place and beers at Scotty's! Good day!

Big Ten Wrestling Friday

The B1G Ten's were in West Lafayette, IN this year at Purdue. We got back a week ago and we had such a great time!

We stayed at a hotel called Campus Inn. It is the bare minimums... But only $50/night! And.. So.. Close.. To everything!

We got to the hotel and I put some Hawk love on the windows. We went next door to 9 Irish Brothers for dinner and beers. Wow! This place is completely in Irish garb an has a great menu with a lot of variety.

We started with some beers and fried goat cheese with a raspberry vinagrette with lettuce. Yumm! Next, I had a half order if shepard pie and John ordered salmon with a spicy red sauce with asparagus and taters.

Next up we had beers in our room and went to my new favorite go to- Scotty's Brew House.. Walking distance... Beers.. And happy hour appetizers after 10. The wings.. Are Amazing!!!!!! Best thing we had for Friday! We even ran into some Hawk fans from hawkeyesports.com. Also, on tap, 312.. Mmmmm.

Amazing day! I'll recap Saturday tomorrow :). On spring break with my sis and niece and so much to write about!

On TV!!!!

Well, a funny thing happened during the wrestling championships!

We were on TV!!!! I'm a celebrity ;)

Someone I used to work with posted it on my Facebook wall. John and I re-watched it and sure enough we were on TV a lot! :)

My first Kettlebell class

I was in OKC the past week for work. John told me about a new studio a mile from our house that offers classes. We signed up for the 10am intro class today.

All I can say is. Hands down best work out ever and it was just practicing the moves! We signed up for an unlimited monthly class. I am so excited about it!!!

It's hard. It's different. It burns 20 calories a minute! Cannot wait til Monday night!

Now I just have to experience the soreness. A hubby says, "it's just weakness leaving the body."

Lil miss organizer

I like organizing things. So, even though my spices were all nice...I had the need to re-do because of looking again at a from a post two days ago.

Plus... I'm coming clean.. It's not just two drawers and two cabinets... It's two drawers, and 4 cabinets. I confess!!

But I think they do look better, and more organized... And alphabetical ;)
