We woke up to the moon today, getting ready for our hike of Doe Mountain, elevation 5,000 feet.
We got to the mountain at 5:09 am and made it to the top at 5:49! We explored and took some awesome pictures!
After breakfast, we got read for our jeep tour of Mogollon Rim. I highly recommend this company, A Day in the West. Our driver Jimmy was nice, knowledgable and gave us some great pointers for the rest of our visit!
Here are some photos from the tour!
Kissing rock
After our tour, we went to lunch at Hundred Rox, in the Amara hotel. The view and good was great and reasonable! I got a steak wrap and John got a chicken sandwich!
After lunch, we took one of our jeep drivers tips and went to the Indian market to buy jewelry! Most of the artists were in site and I got these beauties!
Time for happy hour on our terrace!
We headed to Elote Cafe for dinner. It's highly rated on Trip Advisor, Yelp, and Fodor's. We got there 45 minutes before they opened and there was already a line!!!
They opened early and we were seated. We started off with chips and salsa and an amazing corn dip. The Flavors were amazing!
For entrees, I ordered Carnitas - Slow-roasted all natural Pork shoulder with roasted Tomato-Chipotle sauce and guacamole .
John ordered Pollo en Pipian Rojo - all natural house-smoked Chicken in a roasted Tomato-Sesame-Pumpkinseed sauce with Green Chile Corn Fritters topped with Pepita crema.
Ended the night with a beer on the terrace and scratchers! (Won $18!). Another great day in Sedona!
